Weapons of Security on Campus
Maintaining a weapon-free educational environment is one of the most important responsibilities of school security personnel.
This module provides participants with practical knowledge of the laws regulating firearms and other dangerous weapons on or near school property. Participants will learn how Gun Free School Zones are established, how firearm restrictions apply to playgrounds, which weapons and injurious objects are prohibited on campus, and how the legal definition of possession affects security decisions and incident reporting.
