This module is designed to teach the participant to understand the basics of terrorism and to identify high-frequency/low-impact and low-frequency/high-impact attacks.
This course will teach the participant to:
- What terrorism is and methods to protect yourself
- Understand the terrorism planning cycle and the stages of a terrorist attack
- Learn how to differentiate between high-frequency, low-impact, and low-frequency, high-impact attacks
Participants will learn to recognize the planning cycle which can help first responders and public safety personnel recognize preoperational activities, and to know “The Four D’s:” Detect, Deter, Delay, Deny and to apply them.
