School Emergencies Briefing and Consolidated Event Emergency Response

This module focuses on building awareness and preparedness for emergency situations that may occur in a school environment. It is designed to help students and staff understand how different types of emergencies require different responses, and how clear thinking, communication, and coordination contribute to safety. 

Throughout the module, participants are introduced to response approaches related to:

•  Fires and evacuation 
• Earthquakes and tornadoes using duck and cover 
• Criminal threats and incident response 
• Airborne exposure requiring shelter-in-place
• Medical emergencies where calling for help is critical.
