Relationships with Educational Staff 

Security professionals assigned to educational environments must work closely with administrators, teachers, counselors, maintenance personnel, and other staff members to maintain a safe, secure, and well-coordinated campus. Effective communication, professional conduct, and a clear understanding of staff roles are essential for supporting school operations, responding to incidents, and building productive working relationships. 

 This module examines the communication techniques and professional behaviors expected of security personnel when interacting with educational staff. 

 Topics covered in this module include:

• Verbiage
• Gestures 
• Communicating with Staff (Including Receiving Instructions)
  
  Participants will strengthen the communication skills needed to coordinate effectively with educational staff, support daily campus operations, respond professionally during routine and emergency situations, and reinforce a culture of safety, professionalism, and collaboration throughout the educational environment.
