Emergencies can strike at any moment, and being prepared is crucial. This module is designed to provide you with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies by understanding and applying Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
Throughout this course, you will learn step-by-step procedures for handling four critical situations:
Unresponsive individuals – Learn how to assess and respond when someone is unconscious.
Unresponsive and not breathing – Understand the immediate actions needed in cases of cardiac arrest.
Choking – Identify the signs of choking and apply the correct techniques to assist a victim.
Bleeding control – Gain essential skills to manage bleeding and prevent further complications.
By the end of this module, you will be able to confidently prepare and enact action plans tailored to these medical emergencies, ensuring a rapid and effective response in any facility or organization.
