History of School Security

This module provides an in-depth look at the evolving responsibilities of school security professionals within educational environments.

Students will examine the proactive and reactive measures that shape a safe school setting and learn to navigate real-world scenarios through critical decision-making. 

 This module covers the following topics: 

•  Prevent, Observe, and Report 
•  Role of School Security Officers 
•  Relationship to Local Law Enforcement 
•  Apprehension vs. Prevention 
  
   By developing these core competencies, security professionals will be better prepared to uphold safety standards, de-escalate incidents, and support school communities with professionalism and care.
