Crimes Against Property

Crimes against property can create safety concerns, disrupt educational operations, and result in significant financial losses for schools and school districts. Security professionals play an important role in protecting school assets, identifying suspicious activity, documenting incidents, and supporting investigations when property crimes occur. 

 This module provides participants with practical knowledge for recognizing, preventing, and responding to common property-related crimes encountered in educational environments. Participants will learn how to identify signs of vandalism and property destruction, address unauthorized key duplication concerns, protect school resources, and respond appropriately to incidents involving damaged or stolen property.

• Vandalism (P.C. 594, 594.2, 594.3) 
• Duplication of Keys (P.C. 469) 
• Destruction of Library Property 
  
   By the end of this module, participants will be better prepared to identify property-related crimes, document incidents accurately, protect school assets, and support a safe and secure educational environment through effective prevention and response strategies.
