Crimes Against Persons

Crimes against persons can present significant safety concerns in educational environments and often require immediate, professional action from security personnel. Security guards must be prepared to recognize warning signs, respond appropriately to incidents, protect students and staff, and follow established reporting procedures while maintaining a safe learning environment. 

 This module provides participants with practical knowledge for identifying and responding to common crimes against persons encountered on campus. Participants will learn how to address threats, recognize assault and battery incidents, understand restraining orders and stay-away orders, and respond appropriately when a student or other individual is reported missing. Emphasis is placed on safety, communication, documentation, and coordination with school administration and law enforcement.

• Missing Persons
  
   Participants will gain a stronger understanding of how to recognize potential risks, respond to critical situations, and support the safety and well-being of students, staff, and visitors within educational environments.
